Engagement detail
Film was gone; the infrastructure wasn’t. Makeable’s innovation consulting engagement with Fujifilm turned imaging infrastructure into retail experience: a reason to walk into a store, and a way to give photographs a place in the physical world again. This is innovation consulting in its most concrete form: taking an incumbent’s under-leveraged assets and redesigning them into new consumer-facing products and experiences, spanning digital product design and experiential retail. The engagement combined Makeable’s Digital & Product and Experiences & Activations practices, the studio’s recurring answer to a recurring question: what does a legacy business do with capabilities the market stopped asking about?
